The purpose of the event is the implementation of the target indicator of the project to make at least 15 proposals into the 5-year strategic plans developed by the project area rural districts based on the 2018-2022 Development Program adopted by the Kyrgyz Government.

The training course was conducted by Aida Kurbanova, representative of the Civic Participation Fund Public Foundation and expert consultant on strategic planning. At first, she gave the SHG Associations extensive information on identifying local problems and proposing ways to solve them by local authorities, on drawing up plans for the future, annual plans, and also carried out practical work. In the process of training, each SHG Association identified by three priority problems and ways to solve them, developed proposals, work programs and the necessary budget for submission to local authorities. It was determined that mainly in all regions there are problems of clean drinking water, the condition of internal roads, the lack of preschool educational institutions, problems of garbage collection, the provision of necessary equipment for assembly halls of secondary schools, the lack of gyms and security issues. In the work programs of the SHG Association, assistance to local authorities in solving these problems was considered. Therefore, questions were not raised in vain, so that questions did not remain in words and on paper, proposals for local authorities and their solutions were identified. The SHG Associations intend to soon send the proposals developed during the training to the local authorities to jointly implement the initiatives.

The SHG Association members participating in the training noted that they received a lot of useful information and are primarily going to train other members of the Associations and use the acquired knowledge in practice.
