Currently, in connection with the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, along with schools, children's educational institutions have also stopped their work and are continuing their work remotely. This format of work is used by maternal schools in Bazar-Korgon district created within the framework of WPU Erayim project ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’, supported by the German international organization Bread for the World.

According to the project coordinator for Maternal Schools, Dilfuza Nazaralieva, within the framework of the project, in the rural districts of Bazar-Korgon and Akman, about 20 maternal schools are steadily operating in the project area, where over a thousand children are brought up. There are also about 10 maternal schools created with an influence of the project. Since the introduction of restrictive measures in connection with the coronavirus, educators have been actively using teaching methods online. Each teacher attends the maternal school every day, as before, has a creative approach to work, prepares visual aids for lessons, contacts children online and conducts lessons. Besides, they prepare for winter, insulate doors and windows. Such maternal schools include “Ryana”, “Perishte”, “Nazik”, “Yntymak” - added Dilfuza Nazaralieva.
