The new phase of the project ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Modern and Traditional Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’, supported by the German organization Bread for the World is already in full swing. This time the project area has been expanded by adding Kenesh, Beshik-Jon and Seidikum aiyl okmotu of Bazar-Korgon district.

Context analysis was conducted to assess the situation in the target districts in order to identify the project's contribution to stabilizing the situation, improving the socio-economic situation, and identifying effective methods of working to reduce social and inter-ethnic tensions. It was conducted by project evaluation experts Aida Kurbanova and Cholpon Akmatova. First, they met with the activists of the Kenesh of the rural district, representatives of the police inspection on work with children and teenagers, social workers of the rural district and social workers of schools.

There are more than 22,000 people in this village, consisting of eight settlements. More than 11,000 are women, and 2,784 people receive pensions. In addition, 968 families are poor. The number of people with disabilities is 451. 16 people are extremely poor and have no one close to them. They are always taken care of by the local authorities. In aiyl okmotu there are ten public educational institutions and four preschool educational institutions. There are not enough preschool educational institutions in aiyl okmotu and therefore only about 200 children attend the kindergartens. The main problems in this rural area are the need for kindergarten and access to drinking water. Only forty per cent of the population was provided with clean water. Most villages drink tap water. The road to the villages of Kara-Jygach and Seyitkazy is challenging to access. There are almost no social facilities on the other side. There is no special transport route. Internal through the centre of the village. Along the main road, there is no pedestrian sidewalk, which often causes traffic accidents. And there is also the issue of lighting.

A discussion took place around these important issues, and staff from the Children and Teenage Inspection reported that there is virtually no juvenile delinquency, that frequent meetings with students are held at schools, and outreach work is done. At the end of such a meeting, it was said about the necessity of maternal schools in the countryside, and the need to open Russian, English and Komuz clubs in schools. They added that the leadership of the village will fully support the organization, working closely with the organization to meet the requirements of the project. The next meeting was with the head of the Bazar-Korgon district education department Sopubek Sariev and the specialists of this department. There are 51 general educational institutions and 40 kindergartens in the district under the leadership of Sopubek Sariev. The number of preschool-age children exceeds 21,000. Only 5,000 of them go to kindergarten. Therefore, the issue of kindergarten in the district is urgent. Every year the number of children increases. In previous years, 1200-1300 children went to the first grade. Now it is attended by 2400-2500 children. They should be prepared for school. The difference between a child who goes to kindergarten and a child at home is huge. Every year 3-4 kindergartens should be opened in the district. In this case, the role of maternal schools is important. "Migration is also increasing. Parents leave their preschool children and go abroad to work. Grandparents, aunts and uncles take care of the child. They can't bring up their grandchildren properly, there is no proper nutrition and they don't pay attention to upbringing. I'll tell you one example. Our neighbours left their four children behind and went to Russia. The grandmother looks after the children, the youngest is 3 years old, and the eldest is in 2nd grade. They miss their mothers very much, and often come to our house, hug and caress my daughter-in-law as their mother. Looking at this makes me want to cry. Migrants' children need the attention and nurturing of their parents in the first place. That is why there is a need to increase the number of maternal schools," says S. Sopuev. In view of this situation, the District Department of Science Education said that they would work more closely with WPU Erayim and use its capacity to expand maternal schools within the project. In addition, during this evaluation, Beshik-Jon and Seydikum met with leaders, activists, and self-help groups. Similar problems arose in the regions in question. According to Altynai Sabyrbekova, the beginning of the project cycle will conduct a context analysis to assess the situation in the target areas in order to identify the project's contribution to stabilizing the situation, improving the socio-economic situation, as well as identifying effective methods of working to reduce social and inter-ethnic tensions and a second contextual analysis at the end of the project cycle to assess the effectiveness of the methods used.
