Summer Courses of English Language - 2017 for Teachers of Zhumgal Province

The WPU Erayim’s ‘Summer Courses for English Language for Teachers’ project, supported by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) continues its work.
The next summer courses for teachers to improve the level and methodology of teaching English will be held from May 29 to June 9 this year. Courses will be held in the secondary school named after T. Tursunbaeva of Zhumgal district in Naryn Province. A 10-day course will be attended by teachers from 24 schools in the Zhumgal district.
The courses will be conducted by volunteers from the United Kingdom Dr. Anne Victoria Davis, Mrs. Caroline Moor and Claire Reeves. After the completion of the course, the participants will receive book and handout materials, dictionaries, so that they could use them later in their lessons.
Brief information about the teachers:
Dr. ANNE VICTORIA DAVIS She worked as a director in two international schools in England, and currently works as a consultant in education, especially in Russia. Dr. Davis works with teachers and students in schools and universities, she teaches English in Russia. She believes that the most important thing is not only to read and write, but to speak the language without shyness. Also, she worked as an inspector of education. In addition, she is interested in history. She wrote a book about the history of one hero city of the USSR.
CAROLINE MOOR She was qualified to teach English to foreigners. She received a master's degree in gender studies in the system of education. She worked in Malaysia (1987-88) and in Hungary (1994-96). In England she taught our teachers how to teach migrants and children from national minorities. For one year (2010-2011) she taught (100%) English at a university in Astana, Kazakhstan. She also gave short courses in Almaty within the framework of the British Council program to Kazakh, Tajik and Kyrgyz soldiers of peacekeeping troops. She also helped refugees from Italy and Africa.
